Summer in Les Carroz
Ski63 are pleased to announce that from this summer we will be offering tailor made summer holidays to suit all your needs. Whether your preference is for a full on exhilarating activity packed week or a more relaxing experience let us organize this for you.
Picture yourself returning to the luxury that is Chalet La Cortiena after a day in the mountains and relaxing with a glass of wine or cold beer on the garden terrace enjoying a BBQ in the evening sun with spectacular views.
The Alps in the Summer really are very special with the snow covered peaks and meadows transforming into a lush, vibrant array of colours with spectacular scenery whilst also being one of nature’s most versatile playgrounds.
Les Carroz is an ideal base to spend your Alpine Summer holiday, being a traditional village it has a great ambiance and life of it’s own all year round, not just in Winter. An undiscovered gem it has maintained it's own unique identity and personality offering a great mix of facilities whilst not being over developed. It is a spacious resort with pavement cafes and interesting little shops and several good restaurants and bars centered around the main square.
For the walkers amongst you we can prepare itineraries for you with walks ranging from gentle 1 hour strolls to more challenging 1 or 2 day walks including a night in one of the mountain refuges and everything in between. We love the outdoors as much as you do and will be delighted to join you on the hikes, we can also drive you to and collect you from destinations further a-field.
For the cycling enthusiasts there are several recognized road cycling routes with climbs of between 430m and 1620m (this has to be earned) or of course discover your own routes along the way with numerous options for climbs and descents. (See routes). Should you wish we can organize a support vehicle to follow you and even set up a picnic en-route as a re-fueling stop.
All levels of Mountain Biking are catered for with a popular route starting from Les Carroz and riding between the Giffre and Arve valleys, attaining a height of 2500m via the Flaine gondola from where the views of the Mont Blanc range are breathtaking. This is followed by a 13km descent into the village of Sixt (700m) then along the valley to Morillon where we climb again to 1100m and follow the contour back round to Les Carroz.
But....it is not all about walking and cycling there is no shortage of activities to give the whole family a feel for the Alps and all it has to offer, such as:
- Photography
- Painting
- Rafting
- Rock Climbing
- Horse Riding
- Golfing
- Fishing
- Parapenting
- Via Ferreta
- Hot Air Ballooning
or if you fancy a bit of sight-seeing let us organize you a day out to Chamonix where you can take the Tran du Montenvers to the Mer de Glace (Glacier) or visit the beautiful lake side historic town of Annecy and take lunch in one of the many restaurants.
But this is just a flavour of the possibilities – please give us a call on 00 33 457 199530 or send us an email to info@ski63.com to discuss your holiday and we will prepare you a package to suit.
